  • "Great place for stopping over or hanging out to get in some world-renowned Montana fishing. Big Hole River is close by. Owners/management are friendly and accommodating."

  • "Amazing little cabin in a beautiful, quiet place in Montana. Not much here except nature, and that is exactly what we wanted. Amazing owners; friendly and inviting. They have a wonderful welcoming committee: 2 cute doggies!"

  • "Melrose, MT is very small village on the edge of great fly fishing. And it is near nowhere; so might expect a very basic type motel. Sportsman is just not that. My cabin was spotless, perfectly. Fitted out kitchenette, toasty heated, comfy bed, just as you might find in a city hotel but so much prettier surroundings. Stayed 2 nights in May 2021"

  • "LOVED IT !! "We stayed in the Centennial cabin and loved it. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer in our cabin. We also had pets with us and this cabin has a fenced in yard. Little amenities go a long way when your stop for the night on a trip across the US. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The view was absolutely stunning and so relaxing. Beds were comfortable. Cabin was clean. Would go out of the way to stay here again.""

  • "Fantastic! Perfect combination of a great facility in a great spot, with impeccable, old-school customer service! Ken and Bonnie run a truly first-rate business here, that I would recommend to anyone. Travelers needing a spot for the night, or hunters/anglers needing a headquarters for a couple days will all be accommodated. Can't wait until our next visit!"

  • " don't know where to begin explaining how hospitable and accommodating Ken and Bonnie were to my family and me. We had some truck troubles while pulling our fifth wheel for our stay here. They helped us find a good tow company and get our RV safely here for our stay. During our time in the office several others came in raving about how great everything was. I can't recommend staying here enough. Thank you for everything Ken and Bonnie!"

  • "I have never written a review before but I am so impressed with this lodge/motel that I want everyone to know about it! I travel alot for work, just me and my dog. This place now takes my #1 spot for places I have stayed. It is exactly what you wish every independently owned motel was like. It is super clean (inside and out), the beds are comfortable and I felt safe and welcomed. I was pulling a long gooseneck trailer and there wasn't a good place for me to park due to a bicycle event. The gentleman that checked me in, walked me outside, found me a spot on the grass and helped guide me in. The owners have spent alot of effort, care and time paying very close attention to detail and it shows in every aspect of this hidden gem. Whenever I am in this part of the country I will go out of my way to stay here again. Applause to the owners and I wish you many years of success!"
